Instructions for Using ANTIFLOT SB-45 for Antimony Sulfide (Stibnite) Flotation

This product is a specialized flotation reagent that helps recover antimony minerals from

sulfide ore through flotation and enhances ore grade.

🧪 Main Components of ANTIFLOT SB-45

• Sodium Dithiophosphate: primary active agent capable of recovering sulfide minerals.

• Pine Oil: frother that stabilizes bubbles during flotation.

• Polypropylene Glycol (15%): surface conditioner that improves dispersion.

• Tween 80 (5%): emulsifier that helps dissolve components in the solution.

⚙️ Application Guide in Antimony Flotation

1. Ore Preparation

• Crush antimony sulfide ore (Stibnite) to a suitable particle size (typically

<0.074 mm).

for flotation.

• Check the slurry pH and maintain it between 6.5 and 8.0 for optimal performance.

2. Solution Preparation

• Shake ANTIFLOT SB-45 well before use.

• Dilute with clean water at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:20 depending on flotation scale.

3. Dosage• Recommended dosage: 50–150 g/ton of dry ore.

• Adjust depending on ore type, purity, and recovery target.

4. Flotation Process

• Add ANTIFLOT SB-45 solution into the slurry in the flotation tank.

• Stir for 3–5 minutes to ensure even dispersion of the reagent.

• Start air injection to generate froth and recover antimony minerals from the froth layer.

5. Operational Notes

• Do not overdose as it may contaminate the concentrate.

• Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Use protective equipment when handling chemicals.

📌 Suitable Applications

• Flotation of single-mineral antimony sulfide ore (Stibnite).

• Can be combined with gravity separation methods if the ore contains mixed

oxide–sulfide components.

📊 Comparison Table

If using 10% raw ore without flotation, transportation costs within

300 km would be 15,000 USD. After flotation and upgrading to 40% Sb concentrate, 25 tons of

concentrate would cost 3,750 USD, saving 11,250 USD in transportation costs.

• Flotation reduces transportation volume by 75% for the same amount of Sb.

• In addition, 40% concentrate is easier to sell, has higher value, and reduces environmental

treatment costs.

Detailed Chemical Formula of the Product and Additives for Antimony Ore Flotation
